Why does a "stanced" car have to have engine modifications? Trust me, I am muchhhh more of a go-fast guy than I am a "stance" guy, but if someone is building a cool, fun, simple DD (15,000+ miles/year), having a lot of engine modifications is stupid.

Plus, modding a car to go fast is normally a lot more expensive than lowering one on wheels. If you buy used coilovers and used wheels you could actually make a profit 3 years down the road if you put the car back to stock, try making a profit after go-fast mods, hardly ever happens.

its not pointless, it puts more downforce on the rear wheels for cornering grip. wings are not solely intended for forward traction on the drive wheels.

i'm not a fan of removing one high beam on older bmw's... just looks unfinished.

    anyways...
I **** people referring to their modded cars as 'stanced' or saying something like 'i need more stance'

camber for no reason (but wearing out the rear tires on your DD in 5k miles)

the fact that most cars being featured on a lot of these 'stance' websites have very few, if any, engine modifications

Copy wheels and People that use the word "Fanboi" or use "Stance" as a derogative term (they seem to be one and the same) .

I don't **** steelies because on older cars that want to be flush steelies are a good thing. On older cars they have a lower offsets so it makes it tough to fit wheels unless you use spacers. Plus I have always like lips on wheels so if you widen a steel wheel you can have a wheel that fits the original offset, that's flush, and has a good lip.

    I **** flapping/hanging body kits cause they're ugly

    Very true!

And I know not many people in aus rock rs'. Maybe it's all my head that I'm over them... Maybe I go on vortex too much :p

I had a set of 17 inch rs' for my mk3 but I ended up selling them to get something different! I dunno I like being different!

On another note... Milo tin exhausts suck. :p

This logic is true. My argument is more based around the short life of CCWs compared to RSs. One is popular and has withstood the test of time. One is popular because its the cheapest 3-piece custom wheel.

steelies are lame, especially when one pays more than 1/3" the cost of the car to have them widened. I'd rather be not flush than flush on widened steelies
