    Something I'd Never Seen at the Strip Before

    There's a tiny drag strip called 75-80 in the middle of a field that my friends and I go to ever Friday. Where I live, were pretty much surrounded by diesel pickups with stacks and supercharged domestics and what not. So it was quite the breath of fresh air to see this guy running yesterday



    I didn't get to take any more pictures, even with my phone (crappy as they are), because the owner was kind of a douche. I got all excited that this comparatively small e30 was there running with "the big boys" and almost giggled with excitement and this guy looked at me like I was a mental case. He wouldn't really tell me anything about the car, but I got a brief look under the hood and saw that it was boosted.



    The guy was running in the test-and-tune class that day, so he wasn't competing for anything, but he KILLED that Camaro. 10.4 in the quarter mile. I wish I had snapped a picture of his burnout...

    Just what I thought was a cool example of a very functional e30.

      I re-did the links on the pics. I hope they work now; if not, they're less than spectacular anyway.

                Good. The car was crazy fast. I wish I could have spoken to the owner more, but he wasn't having any of it. I think he thought I laughed at his car but the laugh was really one of excitement. Aside from myself and my friend in a Mitsu, he was the only non-domestic there. It's a shame I wasn't able to get the specs on the car.

                  10.4 in a pretty damn stock looking anything is got damn fast.. too bad the guy was a douche.

                  i know 75/80 too.. i'm originally from hagerstown.

                    On a totally unrelated note; when I read the thread name for the first time I thought it said "Something I'd Never Seen Strip Before." and I was like lolwut? What other things can strip than people. And then I re-read the thread title and was like OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

                      Well, if a squirrel can water ski (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xxKwesCKJk) then who knows? Maybe something else out there can strip

                      @project Epik, small world! Not a lot of people go anymore because it shut down and reopened, but it's gaining popularity again.

                          Yeah I got a chuckle at the contours. But hopefully next year will have more of a turn out.

                          And dayyum is that a sting ray I see lining up in the staging area?

                              guys name is mike, car has a somewhat modded s52 w/ a 82mm turbo. shits fast, as you've seen.

                              i go to 75-80 all the time, maybe i'll see one of you guys. i'm about 5'9-5'10, 360lbs, white dude, chain smoking black and milds....
