not intending to offend with this statement, but don't buy into the "fear hype" on Toyota. They are still one of the safest, most dependable cars on the road. Toyota has been made the "Sacrificial Lamb" by Washington DC, because we (America) now have a vested interest in the success of General Motors.
Toyota has dominated GM for a good while, and the moment Washington caught wind that Toyota was having issues... BOOM, they open up investigation after investigation. Now, I'm not saying Toyota didn't make a mistake in not recalling certain issues, but if you do a real analysis against the recalls GM has per car produced vs. the issues Toyota has per car produced, the findings would be startling I'm sure.
You don't hear about GM in the news anymore... why? The media is bought and paid for by everyone in Washington DC. It's not in anyone's interest to bring any negative light to a company where we all now have ownership in.
I would get a Toyota just to get away with grossly excessive speeding tickets (like I do with my car right now) with that excuse.
more like programing problem . They said it was a problem with the fly by wire mechanism where it would accelerate even when the pedal wasn't compressed. That could have never happened seeing how the tps has to match the voltage from the pedal. If the pedal reads .7v and the tps reads 3.5v the computer would say "hey, thats not right" and go into a limp mode.
My mom has a 2010 4.0L fully loaded Chrysler Town & Country and I fucking love the thing to death, I enjoy driving it. It is IMMENSELY comfortable and does it's job very, very well.
Fuck "pride," I'll take a minivan.
Keep in mind this is coming from the guy driving the fag-y MR2
