People are generally judgmental fucks who make assumptions based on what they think is the norm and anything outside of it is evil/wrong/whatever. Surprisingly, I've never been profiled bc of my car. You would think a loud slammed black car with big shiny wheels would get more negative attention but maybe they just see me as a harmless asian kid lol. Works out for me, I smoke a lot in my car around town bc the parentals don't approve

Funny story, last week I was parked outside my friend's house idling with the lights off waiting for him to get home. 5 minutes later, as I'm sitting in my friend's car in his driveway, 2 cop cars roll up shining a spotlight on my car in the street. We walked up to the cops to see what the deal was and apparently the neighbors had guests and thought my car was suspicious. I was at his house during the day and my car is parked in his driveway a few times a week going back years now, so yeah, there's gonna be suspicious behavior in the one car that stands out and pretty much anyone in town can recognize lol. I told them it was my car and they just said "oh alright, no problems" and left haha

Holy shit this happens to me DAILY. I need to start carrying business cards with answers to basic questions I always get asked.

-No I dont have a lighter
-No I dont have a cigarette
-No I dont wanna buy any
      -Yes they're real
      -Yes they hurt
-If I wanted to take them out, I would've put them in.

i do have to admit though, miami is a lot more accepting than most cities.

Whats funny, is that if you were driving a jacked up Chevy or something like that, your redneck professor would probably like you more. Fuck the fucking fuckers. This sort of stuff pisses me off so badly. Just because I hang out with people at my college who smoke a lot of weed, EVERYBODY asks me if I'll sell to them. Don't get me wrong, I do like to smoke every once in a while, but I wouldn't sell drugs. Prejudice is a such a bitch.

i get stereotyped alot. everyone assumes because i drive a nice car and live at home that my parents had to pay for my car and everything i have. truth be told i live with my grandparents, who **** my car and would love nothing more then to have it removed from their driveway. the last thing they would do is give me a dime to fix it.

i also get stereotyped for the way i look, big ear lobes and lip piercings. because i have piercings i have to smoke and do alot of drugs. EVERYONE asks me for cigaretts or drugs. when i say no, or state that thats not my style i get dirty looks like im lieng . also when i walk around stores or drive around people stop and stare or look at me as if im some asshole. because i have piercings i have to be a douche bag ?

i had an older couple walking infront of me in lowes yesterday, the woman turned around just looking around and we made eye contact so i smiled politely as i always do when i make eye contact with someone. she stops dead infront of me grabs her husbands arm and says "LOOK! LOOK!" as he is just looking around like why are you pulling on my arm ?. as i passed i could hear her saying " what kind of horrible person would do that?" .. i was walking just going to pick up a few bolts for my battery tray, minding my own business. she does all this then has the audacity to say that IM the horrible person ? really ?

You are in Bethlehem. I have family in Emmaus. Needless to say, the entire Lehigh Valley is far behind the curve.

Sucks to hear, man... Kinda funny that you bring it up though.

So, my good friends and I all share a couple common things... We all love cars, we all love tattoos, and we all love piercings. We used to always joke when we'd roll up to the store or a restaurant in my friends dumped a6 on 20's, or any nice car any of us owned... And we'd all be covered in tattoos with gauged ears. We all have decent jobs, some of us own our own houses. We're all upstanding members of the community, but due to stereotypes we still get dirty looks... Which is fine with me.

As a joke we started a crew called "DIRTBAG". It isn't really a car group or a club... Just sort of an inside joke. Sometimes we have people ask how they can get a sticker, and we respond... "It's kinda more of a lifestyle choice than us giving you a sticker."

I don't get stereotyped too often, but I've had a bunch of people shoot me confused looks when I get out of my car. Most people don't expect a 6'3" guy in a Less Than Jake t shirt to get out of a BMW. Granted, it's NOTHING like what you guys have gone through. People suck.

You get inked/piercings/adorn yourself however you wish/roll hard/plaster car with stickers in order to make a statement, you get attention one way or another.
A fair proportion of the time its going to be attention you don't want, well...hey...you made the call.

It certainly does suck to be accused of anything you didn't do, regardless. Hopefully, if you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I **** telling people I own/like BMWs.

                            A) It sounds lame as fuck to most people who have no ideas that BMWs have a following. They think it just sounds like "oh I like fancy cars".

                            B) I **** saying I drive one, let alone own several.

when i had long hair people allllways asked me for weed.

but other than that i'm white and from what i'm told i drive a jetta...so that's about as far as it's gone.
stereotyping is fucking weak though. prejudice people suck, regardless of what it is based on.
