  • fixed gear bicycles

so, i may or may not have been guilty of talking a little bit of shit about this whole fixed gear bike trend. out of ignorance i thought it was just some lame ass hypebeast hipster bullshit, and really no point behind it but to look cool......until i saw the video that french dude posted on CiB.

that led me to find this video: http://vimeo.com/4162843

now i am intrigued. as a kid i grew up riding bmx, and i have recently pulled my old bike out and rode around. since i am no longer fearless enough to do the stupid shit i used to, and would prefer not getting injured for now, i am thinking about picking one of these bitches up... inform me prease.

I was on the same page as you. Thought they were only for hipsters & hypebeasts to ride around the city looking all fresh on a bike. They're sick tho, but expensive from what I saw.

if you dont want to spend a billion dollars on a bike, get the fixed gear bike by Mongoose at Wallyworld aka Gualwart aka Walmart for like 150 I think. this is a dope store if you happen to be in So Cal.

A lot of people are like that, just dismissing it as hype. But once you start riding, it's so much fun. I wrecked my first one, have a KHS Flite 100 coming on Thursday.
                Wut?

Im debating on one. I used to ride trails and street back in the day just before the whole no brakes trend became so big. Frankly I didnt understand what was so cool about that either.

Then, I met up with a old high school friend who I used to ride with on a fixed gear. Still nothing special but after borrowing it for a few hours I was pretty exhausted yet I felt pretty fuxin good inside. Like those guys that get high from jogging 20 miles a day
