That's the spirit man. I wanted something once and saved for a year

Thanks, I been thinking about making a build thread but it would be the slowest build in the world with my part time income. But to keep this thread at its roots here's some domestic stance that gets overlooked... more cavaliers!

    and found this

You seem eager to learn and listen, which is great! You're right, the car is less than stunning, but there's no reason you couldn't make it quite the looker. I like to see different stuff, especially domestic.

I suggest you look up a user on here by the name of Hoowybrow. He built an insane Cavalier. It's not finished yet, but he's done a lot of suspension work that could really help you out. He's also an excellent welder and fabricator, I'm sure he could give some pointers on the rust issue for you as well. Hope this helps, good luck with the car.

Thanks! That makes my life easier, and yea I'm hoping to get some input on my (as me and my friends call it) the cavaghini. Not sure where to go next after I get it running right, and my brakes in full working order. Do I tackle body work or go for the coils or maybe something else I'm not thinking of. All of my friends are with me on the project but at the same time their like just sell it, buy a cheap honda, and be happy. But I myself wouldn't be happy because of the hopes I have for this car. Anyways, got a little off track but, I have heard of and read his entire thread and absolutely love Hoowybrow's build. It makes me want to carry on despite the ****. It's just mine's such a far cry from his in every angle. I wish he lived closer so I could have on tap instant cavalier knowledge.

I can honestly say reading this whole thread makes me look like a straight ricer.. but I've only done things to try and help my poor little car. Its a 4 door 1998 cavalier ls and as my first car I thought, why not just try to improve. So here I am putting every pay check I can into it, not doing anything too ricey besides the fact that it has the notorious 4x4 wheel gap with the rims and tires I have on it. Plus a twin loop muffler which I wanted to try something different than get a fart can on it. But I realize it's an automatic, and that it only came with 115 hp stock. Which is why I plan on taking the stance route. It has drag dr55's 17x7 with 205/50's which I came to see is weak going into stance. So now I'm going to be doing everything the right way and saving for real coils (BC br extreme drop) and probably some wider wheels but I just don't know what to do that wont turn it into rice Plus I need a ton of body work for the rust.. And I was going to show you guys how it sits but since I'm new to this forum stuff I can't get it to add a picture

Hah. Thanks. The car belonged to my brother. I set it up for him. We loved the car but he's always been a fan of the mustang so when the 5.0 came out we took it back to stock and rolled into a gt. now looks like this

Shame tho. It's a great car as a platform and value.

    Ask me how I know.

I like my car because it's different. I'm in no way a Saturn enthusiast. I really don't give a shit about Saturns. I liked it when I was young and I worked hard and bought it. So, I got what I wanted. Now I'm going for fitment.

More people should step out of the box. Nothing wrong with "Euro or JDM", but I feel like the car scene discourages people from being different. At the end of day, YOU step into the drivers seat and drive that car. So if it makes YOU happy, forget what others have to say.

(link in my sig is a photoshop rendering of my car, with my wheels on, and simulated "aired out" stance. wheels are 17x8 rotiform nue's et30 in case you were curious)
