Next pair of jeans will either be apc or naked&famous.

I was a khaki guy, until I went to TJ Maxx and got me a couple pairs of lucky brand jeans on sale. They are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn in my entire life. Normally like 100 bones, I got em for a third of that.

Side note: In case anyone ever needs a shift boot, denim works and looks great if you can find it in the color you want

I usually look for deals at nordstrom, nordstrom, rack, even macys. So far my favorites I think are Rock Revivals and FiveFours. I became a huge label whore when I seperated with the wife for 4-6 months, I totally splurged since before all I bought was anchor blues, levis, etc. I know people say name brand stuff is overpriced but mine last a long ass time and fit way better than the cheap stuff. I flew off my motorcycle(stupid, don't even ask) at 25 mph and flew onto a lawn head first. I bruised my shoulder, forearm, and a severly bruised knee and a few broken toes. I was wearing a pair of expensive jeans, nothing happened to them, in fact I still wear them to this day 2 years after the incident.

not trying to start shit or anything, but OP is talking about selvedge/dry denim. Not overpriced predistressed stuff. I have had true religion, diesel, 7s, but the quality compared to selvedge is nonexistent.

Give a try to selvedge, I can say you wont go back - APC, Nudie, Naked&Famous, Sammies, Flathead, Imperial...the list goes on, and so does the price range. Naked&Famous can be had on karmaloop.com for $140 and normally 20-40% off codes can be had.

Oh, as far as splurging on APC's....it was a jump I decided to make and I definately don't regret it, best clothing purchase to date, except for getting the unbranded for $40 because urban messed up.

As far as finding the unbranded, its at certain Urban Outfitters, but if you look online they have it there. But fitting is tough, I sized down 2 for the skinny tapered.

As far as recommendations to Relax - if you like 514s, I would take a look at Gap selvedge in dark indigo, similar fit, well priced and pretty decent quality. However, many Gap stores do not carry it, just have random shipments, if you have a few Gap stores, go to the one thats in the nicest mall area, since the selvedge from them is technically for flagship stores.

+1 I love Levis. The only ones I own though are 514's. Anyone care to make any other recommendations?

    none of their own shit.
i'm wearing some levi's now...511's. my girlfriend had me try on the 510's or whatever the super slim ones are, and i couldn't get them past my thighs.

i woulds really like to pick up a pair of apc's or some sammies. it's hard for me to spend that much on one pair of jeans though. for 70 dollars, cheap mondays are definately worth it though. broke in pretty quick, and got some damn decent honeycomb/whiskering. might buy another set for this summer, then buy some 19oz steez for when it cools down.
I like the 510 a lot. I have two pair (30x30 and 32x30) the 30x30 fit A LOT tighter then the 32x30. They basically fit like 511 if you up a size. Had them both pairs for about two years now, actually they're the only jeans I have lol. I need to go shopping

on to my next pair, the unbranded selvedge from Urban Outfitters, aka, Naked&Famous.

So far i really dig em, wear is getting there, combs and whiskers are coming in nicely, HOWEVER. The top button broke, which I have been hearing is really common, soo break in isnt as good as it could be.

any tips on where to pick up replacement buttons? Preferably the APC style top button, it allows for stretching. I will try and get some fit pics
