  • Mercedes w140's, School me on them

    School me on them

Might get one from a neighbor for hundreds of dollars, car runs fine, has A/C, interior is in great conditon, needs rear glass, paint is shot, need new front bumper, needs new water pump, front suspension needs new bushing and balljoints and ALOT of TLC, all of the electrical stuff works, like seats, windows, self closing doors and trunk

So is it worth it, or is it going to be a money pit
Car is a 94 S320 Black with grey lowers and grey int, has late model w140 16' wheels with ballon tires lol

Looked like this when new lol

Do it. Self closing doors and trunk would be badass lol. Just make it a project car

Parts will pretty much get you in any big luxury car. Price quotes have nothing to do with the year and value of the car currently, but that of the car in its prime stage.

Yeah but its a pretty common car that shares parts with other Mercedes chassis so prices should not be sky high

So far found the rear glass used for 300$ installed, not bad since these cars have insulation inside the glass and theyre pretty thick

The waterpump is around 70$ with shipping, not bad at all, Thank god is a 6 cylinder

Havent found a used front bumper yet, and need the front signal corners since they are broken also

Still working on part prices for the front suspension, but should not be too bad, im not in a hurry the car is not going anywhere soon, if I buy it I will be the second owner

Its going to cost you a pretty penny to fix all of that and also just to let you know some parts for that car is pretty expensive. Overall its a great car if you have the $ to invest into it
