Why does everyone seem the need to use other peoples cars as their avatars now?

It's cool that we're all low these days....now let's start working on "doing low right" and start re-adjusting geometries and stuff to alleviate stresses on the parts.

To jeremy, do what feels right to you. If you wanna raise it, go for it. It'll still be a sick car. What suspension parts are you worried about stressing. It's possible to make changes to account for the extreme drop and remove some of the added stresses to things like bushings and balljoints.
yeah, dont care enough. i notched the body for hte tie rods and called it a day. this is a disposable car. im just doing stuff because i can at this point.

                • Yeah the long nose would be fun on most driveways/ramps Two or even three tone that fucker!

                  • For me, the trick is knowing where you can and can't drive your car. I know all my regular routes, and I know where all the manhole covers and bumps are. I even know which lanes in the expressway have abnormally large dips.

I still get stuck alot. Mostly in the same place every time (speed bump at school, ramps in the parking garage at school, speed bumps at the girl's place)

                      • I know where all that stuff is too, but its just like if i went like 1.5-2 inches lower, i'd have to take longer routes and i don't want to do that

                          nice, thanks for the info.

Passat has a 4 link front. I've never found much in the way of parts to correct suspension geometry for lowering, but it does have the same front suspension as the b5 a4. If you know of anything let me know, it would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

If you have the clearance to lower your car 2 inches, then you're not low enough lol

Haha, I'm working on fixing that real soon. Come summertime I'll get my coilovers and then I'll have to worry about the road every second I'm on it. No sacrifice no victory
