God I despise bf.c so much. Why do people browse that shithole? Don't they realize there are better options out there that are already established? They don't even need to check out mine if they want but get off kevlar's nazi island.
Never understood why so many people have so many issues with bf.c. Sure it isn't perfect, but it isn't that bad. I've managed to only be banned there once. I just spend most of my time in OT.

Missed this somehow. What forum has more E36 knowledge and just sheer mountain of E36 information? Has even 1/2 of the E36 classifieds section? Actually want to know.
You were banned for breaking the rules. Don't have to be upset about it. If your forum gets huge I would be willing to bet you will enforce rules as it keeps things civil.
Cool. Vincent and Rob are good people. Vincent sponsored my M3 track car. Rob is down the road. I'll say Hi to him next time I stop in
I don't see what this means though. I see an empty forum. I wish you good luck though. Sounds like you had a bad bf.c OT experience. Sorry that happened. It is a wonderful place.
When I'd surf the 7 series section of bf.c all the time I never had any problems. That or the showroom. I don't know how much wandering around I'd to in that site though.

I'm curious... where does someone find it "ok" in advertising their new "forum" on other car "forums?" Not only that, but to gloat about the advertisers you have achieved from a forum started 5 days prior..... on other car forums... take some serious balls, wouldn't you say? And to start 2 threads about the same thing no less.
I mean, am I missing something here? Is there a reason at all that this thread should stay open?
I will leave up to the StanceWorks membership to determine the fate here. I'm seriously curious what true forum enthusiasts think about this.

You got a point. The whole approach might have been wrong. I think he just wanted to start something new and where else to get members from then forums? If someone was to come in here and post another forum similar to StanceWorks, I wouldn't have a problem. I mean, the more the merrier right? Forums arnt really a business in my eyes, more like to help people out. More forums out there = more people getting help. Just my .2 cents tho.

Well I have already talked to Mike. I am not trying to steal anyone's members so you clearly missed the point. I am no bragging about getting advertisers. They're called vendors. People who sell products to forum members are a discounted rate.

Forums aren't a business and I don't want to make any money off e36world. I am giving away all the stickers and license plate frames I have made. Only thing I might make money off of is selling the domain names I don't use to turn into forums like 335world.com , 135world.com etc.
I'm not here to steal members. SW serves its purpose. E36world is to provide tech info and answer questions in a timely manner. If people choose to post pictures over there like rides and styling and chat it up in the OT, thats their choice.
A fair response... However, the user is clearly starting forums for a profit motive, not for simply the benefit of the enthusiast. This is the same tired "model" of every other car forum and, in my opinion, watersdown and kills forums. The user is entitled to do as he wishes though. I'll say this, if he thinks he is gonna make even 1k off the selling of a forum, he should do a lot more research. The days of Internet Brands coming in a buying a forum for 1XX,XXX are way over.

I don't want to make a cent off e36world. I am talking about the other domain names I am buying up.
I may start up non-profit forums for those as well. it takes a lot to run one forum let alone 3 or 4 though. I would need a team of dedicated friends.
If its a community for car enthusiasts, I won't seek to make money off of it.

This was not the impression I got from you at all. In the two threads you have posted regarding this, it came off as a profit motive to me.
If the above quote is your motive, I think that's great. The car community needs more like this. Much like Simply Clean. Just a bunch of guys pushing the movement as a whole. I love stuff like that. In no way am i concerned with people "stealing" members. We are just enthusiasts at the end of the day. If SW stops growing tomorrow, it won't change our passion for cars and working on them.
