Not from cali but i know they are the kings of the car laws (engine swaps, exhaust, dropped cars etc etc) so does anyone know if they ticket you for stretched wheels or any kind of stance that seems to be "in-correct" from what people say.....
ive had friends get busted for being too low. they wont bust out a measuring tape but it will be along the lines "it appears to me that its too low" and if you try to argue they will tack things on.
I know your head lights have to be at least 22 inches off the ground.
Here in Brazil, the measurement is almost the same, althought in centimeters.
I've been pulled over many, many times, and cops kept saying my car had less then 54cm headlight-ground clearance.
I used to ride HIDs and spacers, but they gave me a hard time with them cops, so I went back OEM.
And there is another stupid law stating that your wheel + tire must not be off of the fenders, what clearly affects poke. About stretch, I think there is no law for that yet. Is there in the US?
ive gotten pulled over a few times here in japan for too low and too much poke and camber

i don't know about you guys, but i know that where i'm from, the cops pull you over for everything: tinted windows, bigger wheels, loud exhaust, low suspension, everything that isn't stock.
sure you could register your mods but it cost a lot of money
