  • Cell Phone Recommendations (Verizon)

I'm due for a new phone in early April, and since I **** my LG Dare so much, I can't wait.

What should I get? What's good out there?

    1. Blackberry. Idk anything about them. What's good right now?

    2. Moto Droid. My mom has it and i've used it, but i need a REAL QWERTY keypad, not one with the film over it.

    3. Anythin else?

    • I'm not a HUGE fan of touch screens.
    • It needs to have a QWERTY keyboard.
    • It needs to have internet capabilities.

    Thanks

I have a curve and I like it pretty well. The ball thing gets stuck on occasion but other than that I like it.

Verizon has the best phones IMO. My buddies have the Droid and I love that thing. Probably the best phone out there in my eyes. My girlfriend has a blackberry curve. Its way to professional looking and the whole layout of everything just turns me away.

How about the palm pixi plus?

The new curve is pretty good. But I would go with the Droid for sure. Very good phone, and the 3rd party support is only going to get better.

I don't agree with saying Verizon has the best phones right now.
Just saying AT&T has the BB Bold 9700 (best blackberry to date (I had a 9000 before and it was amazing), and it definitely is better than the Curve IMO and the iPhone (I have one ) which have proven to be some of the best phones on the market, and I like AT&T standard texting phones more, (and a faster network always helps :p). Let the flame wars begin.

Theres a lot of legit phones but that monthly data plan is crazy. Thats whats stopping me from getting a blackberry or something rad, paying that $30 a month for the data plan and then $20 for texting plus the regular fee each month. Shits expensive.

I just got the Samsung Mythic from At&t. Its a cool phone but there are so many better ones out there. I always had the problem where I get a phone and then 2 months later I want a new phone.

The droid is by far, if not the best phone out on the market today. I want to switch over to Verizon simply for that phone, plus all my friends have it nowadays.

Palm Pixi definitely looks sick, I have the Samsung Intensity at the moment

I have an Env2. My front buttons don't work.
I'm now on my fifth because every single one has had the same problem.

So um...stay away from LG. That is all.

I've got the enV Touch with Verizon and I'm definitely happy with it. 3" touch screen outside, 3" screen inside with full backlit QWERTY keyboard. It's fast, easy to use, problem free, and it doesn't need a smartphone plan. The camera is great, too. Just check out the reviews on the Verizon site. The enV Touch was one of the highest rated when I was in the market, so that certainly encouraged my decision.
I really want to get a Droid, but I'm fine for now. Those smartphone data plans are killer!
