  • All you guys with automatics..

Do you guys with automatics run exhausts or keep it stock? Debating if I should get a new exhaust before I do my 5 speed swap.

    the what
every car has an exhaust the byproducts of combustion don't get poofed away by little wizards that live in your engine block.
Shits gonna be pretty exciting if you run your car without exhaust manifolds

I don't know here is a good flow chart to follow

you want your car to be louder----> exhausts
you don't want your car to be louder ---> stock. no exhausts

You might as well wait until you get your 5-speed swap completed. Your new transmission may require a different crossmember that would require different exhaust routing from your slushbox.

      Just food for thought.

More bang for your buck performance wise doing the 5 speed first. Plus most slushboxes sound like poop when it shifts.

Ugh... I **** listening to straight piped autotragics... Or anything much louder than stock... A loud (as long as it sounds clean) manual is good though.

swap 1st, also depends on the car; A make & model like a Lexus GS/LS never came in manual so i think its ok to throw "some" exhaust on them as long as it sounds classy and not just loud, but if your make & model came in manual and u have an auto then swap it 1st, then go nuts.

I used to shift my old v70R like a manual. You learn to get good at it and fool people.
