The majority of the retaliation is due to the fact that this thread was made to commemerate a great man, not post memes about his death.

The thing with Amy Winehouse is she was a drug addict that was taken by her own stupidity. Another "idol" would be Whitney Houston. Bitch was a crack head. Michael Jackson? An old white woman who touched little boys inappropriately. There were scores of people crying for these degenerates who happened to make good music at some point in their tragic lives. Hell, there's still crying for MJ. Oxer stated the difference pretty clearly. Paul actively participated in charity work as opposed to just giving money or flying to different parts of the world to adopt kids instead of adopting kids who need it just as bad in their home country (a jab at Brangelina in case it wasn't picked up on ).

p i see the point you are trying to make, seems like your trying to stir shit though. What is the point in posting such thing which i'm you know would create talk in a thread that is purely to respect the memory of a great man who made a large impact on the large majority of the car world.

Hell i can't even think of single song amy whitehouse sung, If she is bigger than Paul then she must have flown right over my head.

im i the only one completely baffled by the posts in this thread?

    a) i had no idea he was a car guy
    b) i had no idea about his charity work
    c) i had no idea anyone actually liked FF movies, or was inspired by them or him

i definitely have respect for dead people and would never make fun of them, well to a certain degree, i mean who didnt aprec the OBL memes!?

but the only thought that came to mind was "that sucks, ironic, but sucks"
is this an age thing? im 33 now and was very embarassed when the movies came out, esp having owned alot of hondas by that point.
anyone else even slighty surprised by all of the public outcry? just wondering, and no disrespect meant

they were shitty movies, but like many on here i've seen them too, because car guy
What did amy winehouse share with the automotive community? how did she die? what charities did she start?

Sure she donated to charities, Paul actually started a charity. She made good music and helped make people "aware" of diseases, like many other charities and stars. Paul set out with an idea to start to make a difference and actually helped, not just fund others. She was a drug and alcohol addict, and basically killed herself doing what she loved. Paul was taken in a tragic accident doing what he loved.

The mere fact that you think Amy Winehouse was loved by more people, and that its unfair to mock her drug abuse makes me believe you aren't the car guy you believe yourself to be. I haven't always seen eye to eye with you're posts, I now know why.

I don't usually wander into off topic, but i HAD to find a place to talk through my feelings

I think i speak for the majority here when i say that the minute I realized the news was true I was absolutely beyond fucking devastated.. i have never experienced the death of anyone i knew (thank god) but this shit hit me like a fucking freight train, the only solace i have is that I was surrounded by all my car friends in our shop at the time which helped to facilitate the pain..

BUT I CAN SAY WITHOUT A DOUBT I COULD NEVER BE PROUDER TO CALL MYSELF A MEMBER OF THE CAR COMMUNITY- the way EVERY SINGLE person involved in the scene has come together to mourn his loss and pray for his family is beyond fucking incredible, his death has brought us all closer together, spawning gatherings all across the country and just letting the fucking nostalgia pour out by cherishing and sharing with each other our favorite FnF quotes or moments across social media everywhere...

the highlight of my week is a tribute cruise we have here in chi town on saturday, i will most likely lose my shit and tear up like a 3 year old when i see over 600 cars show up just to pay respect to the man that touched all our hearts..

in a few days normal society will forget and move on.. my guess is that the car community will genuinely mourn his loss for months or even years to come..

ill let Tyrese take it home:

Father thank you for the gathering of friends, Father we give thanks for all the choices we’ve made because that’s what makes us who we are, let us forever cherish the loved ones we’ve lost along the way; and most of all thank you for fast cars!

I love you all, rest in peace paulie

And now it's considered bad/or frowned upon, only because this dude acted in shitty car movies and was a car dude?

    Talk about double standards

You talk about double standards while having a go at people mourning a loss of an idol while having a fucking scene from a fnf movie in your sig.

    THATS a fucking double standard.

RIP - sucks when any person passes away.

him and vin did make the FnF series what they are today (as cheesy as they have become) and if anyone tells you that it wasn't the shit back in 2001 you have every right to backhand slap them.

someone said that he traveled around the world to see tuner shops and such... reminded me of this vid.

It really blows that he was at a charity show for the Philippine relief effort. I'm half Filipino, and my grandparents were roughly 13km from the eye of the storm, so to hear that he died at an even to raise money to help Filipinos was a real sucker punch.

Even as I read this I chocked up and got teary eyed. It sounds crazy because we didnt know the guy personally but it's like he was a good friend to us. I'm so insanely upset and almost angry that he died. He was an amazing person. It sucks all the fucking good people die young but the scummy ones who doesnt deserve anything get to live another day. Infuriating.

Thanks guys. I could expand on many aspects, but i feel that what i said people can expand upon in their own minds. He definitely wont be forgotten.

A true hero, in every way!

Every f*cking idiot who hates or make jokes about Paul Walker and his friends tragic death should have this in mind.

The man behind Stanceworks, has these 2 pictures on his Instagram.. If he has respect for Paul Walker and loves his movies, then all u fools making jokes should get a permban from this site..
I was seriously tempted to ban people within the first page of this thread, but at the end of the day people are entitled to their opinion. not only that, majority of us have made it clear that anyone joking about it is a fuckhead and will be made example of.
