Hillbilly, nice setup. Makes me think of the old Trans Am series cars.

funny to run into anyone from there over here...Originally posted by Passenger View PostSup STR33TR
Lurking over here from SN95Forums I see. We have similar thoughts and ideas, just different wheel tastes ahah
Wheels are what I could afford @ the time. Steelies can be cool and I love 'em, but I'm thinking a/b a slight upgrade to something shiny:

but ultimate goal is Keystone Klassics:
have to get a shorter rear end though to get the Klassics +big meats under the fenders (w/ good offset).
for those talking a/b major drops on stangs: it's possible, I can get a/b another 1" lower in the front ( for a/b 3" total -might be able to tuck the front tires) when I get rid of my cats and lose the giant mufflers for something sleeker/smaller (street rod-style mufflers) that will tuck in closer to the driveshaft.
Can't really get much lower in the rear, w/ my "poke", but the nose will be right @ 2.5-3" off the ground.

Can I ask why you wanted the bulging tire? I mean, I know its just the opposite of stretch, but it has absolutely no point for a performance application... The rears should be a 10" minimum imo if you wanted the performance to match the look.Originally posted by Hillbilly View PostFront:
Tires are 215/60-15s on 15x7 wheels w/ 4.25" backspacing (dunno what offset that comes to, but it's the greatest positive offset I could get to maximize the lip difference front/rear).
Rear:
Tires are 295/50-15s on 15x8s w/ 4" backspacing (think this comes to like -12 offset).
15x10 would've given more lip for rear, but the 295s wouldn't have the big bulge and that's what I was trying to get.

Actually its not that bad. A little trimming and drilling a couple of holes in the subframe for mstangs years '86-'99 and some bending new hardlines for brakes, but other then that it pretty much bolts up. Try to find a '03-'04 cobra IRS if you are going to go for the swap. The '99-'01 cobra IRS had some minor issues that were solved in the '03-'04 cobra IRS. Check out the swap instructions here: http://www.mouthbreather.net/IRSSWAP.HTML Hopefully that helps. I drive an '02 GT by the way.Originally posted by starbai View Postthrow an IRS on it?
Sounds like a huge job... didn't even know these were available... what year is your mustang?
