He's a straight up idiot, that article was terribly written and just spewed his opinion with no backing as if it's fact. No point in getting bothered by what some kid on the internet thinks or says behind the safety of his keyboard

I 'ed at this. Seriously this guy is beyond moronic. Did he pass first grade the grammar was atrocious like its one thing to post on a forum and say something like he said, with that level of uneditedness, but I mean come if you want to build a name and be taken seriously:

            1. Understand what you are talking about.
            2. Know how to clearly express what you are trying to say.
            3. GET IT EDITED by someone who actually got through school.

WIth all due respect, the piece is an editorial. By definition, an editorial is opinion surrounding a nucleus of fact. Commentary aside, he has a point with respect to his personal position.

His perspective is that a car should be modified to perform well as a cohesive package rather than going for maximum visual effect. I don't necessarily disagree with that. A lot of cars here and elsewhere have been modified such that the vehicles now offer much less utility than they did in their unmodified state.

An automobile at its core is a tool and different tools have different uses. Some people want to use their tools to get them to work and their kids to school. Others want their tool to propel them faster around a racetrack. Others want their tool to be a personal expression of their style and taste.

These desires are not mutually exclusive and, for me, it comes down to balance. I am not afraid of modifying my cars, however I will never take a sports car and modify for maximum visual effect. I won't alter suspension geometry in such a manner that it detracts from the performance. Sure, a lowered car generally looks better, but there's a fine line between using the suspension to improve a car and using it to make an expression of style.

My personal opinion is that cars which have no merit as performers make the best candidates for visual impact. A '64 Impala laid out on the ground interests me just as much as a Porsche Cup car and I have no desire to own a Cup car with stretched tires and pulled fenders nor do I have a desire to own an Impala with upgraded suspension and brake packages.

Having said that, I understand that style and taste are nebulous and deeply personal and I don't look down upon anyone for doing what they want.

I believe the editorial's author could have written it in a less offensive way, however attacking him for his position is no different than him attacking readers for theirs. Rise above it and keep on doing your thing.

The only time I write that much and in that detail is when I'm bored...

                  32. Like your SAT scores....so low you cant go anywhere.
                  HAHAHA!
As for other pointers and random bs, too long, did not read. I've had people asking me when I am getting my car to the shop and how come I drive it though the suspension has broken. Then I get funny faces when I tell it's just lowered a bit.
