  • Having Trouble Picking A New Build.... Help?

So I'm finally sick of my daily (2001 Lexus GS300) and found it's time to let go of my RX7 as well. Got a mortgage now and what not, you know, because big-boy pants and stuff. Anyways, sob stories aside. I have some money put away for a new daily/stance build and have been debating a few things. I've already owned an MK4 Jetta, as well as a TT but am not opposed to doing so again. That being said I am HEAVILY leaning towards either a Bug-Eye or a B5 A4 Avant (can't afford the gas of an S4 with my commute). So of the cars on my list, go ahead and chime in with which you'd choose over the others and why. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

    Audi B5 A4 Avant
    Audi B6 A4 Sedan
    Audi MK1 TT
    VW MK5 Jetta GLI
    VW MK4 Jetta GLI
    VW MK4 GTI 337
    Subaru Impreza WRX (Bug-Eye)
    Lexus IS300
    BMW E46 323ci / 325ci (Convertible)

b5 avant over the bug eye.
ive had a few audis and the 1.8tqm b5 avant was my fave,.. reliable, decent mpg(25 on avg), kinda
classy, redic in snow, but your in LA so not sure if thats a issue. im a wagon fan so thats just me...
subie=not as relible as most poeple think and the same if not worse mpg, i think theyre just AWD civics personally, kinda cheap on the inside and thinly skinned on the outside. fun as shit to drive though i guess. personally would make it RWD haha.
if your really thinking a fun stanced DD with decent mpg and some reliablty go either
is300 or e46. AWD is an mpg killa, not a conv fan so my pick would be the IS300.

IS300. Because an S4 and WRX will bleed you dry when it comes time to replace broken parts.

It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when with both options.

(This is coming from someone who also has a mortgage and big boy responsibilities, thus why I still have a Honda. )

I'm coming from a GS300 that actually gets BETTER mpg than the IS300 and too be honest, not really impressed. I know AWD is a gas killer but I'm willing to sacrifice a little for something thats a little funner to drive. A.K.A not the size of a small yacht.
