Out of curiosity, what do people who own these cars do for a living? I heard they originally modified them like this so they can be eye level with people on the street, why would the need to be eye level? I know most of the newer cars are leased because where I used to live there used to be a dealership that got a lot of lease returns and had a bunch of candy colored cars on chrome rims.

Probably about the same shit that people with any other type of modifed cars do for a living .Most newer cars are leased period mane thats how it works.
Putting a big body car up on big shiny rims looks intimidating, simple as that. American cars on big rims is a pretty huge scene, there are lots of different types and styles really once you get into it. Just like the "stance" scene but more ridiculous and fun.

That skyline is shopped as fuck.
