I should be putting on E5 in a month or so when I get back, should have had it a while ago but no one told me I had to be at least a 5 lvl in current career field

To say he was a micro-manager is an understatement. O-4 that just didn't want to let the E6's do their jobs. He went to Texas, and I was talking to a buddy that works with him now. Apparently he talks me up like I'm hot shit now, even though he was a complete ass clown towards me when he was here. I'm waiting on test scores to see where I stand on the advancement list.

It is. To have your commanding officer say to multiple other high ranking officers that an E4 is doing an E6/7's job and outperforming everyone and then screw you when it comes time to advance is just sad.

lol enlisted ranks are E1 (lowest) to E9 (highest, sort of). E4 to E5 pay increase is huge if you have a family.
