I think you'd understand more if you worked on cars to make money whereas just working on them during the weekends for fun.

Having the right tools makes things a shit ton easier.
Pretty sure a pry bar for 1/3 of the price will pry just as well.
I don't need to be ASE certified to know that.
IF I worked on cars full time I would:
 A. Be a tech for a luxury\performance brand
 B. Own my own shop

I will spend 1/3 of the money to get all the same tools as you for my hobby, won't have to wait for a rep if they break, and I can drive 10 min (literally) and get replacements.

Like I said before get cheaper stuff for the dumb tools, and get snap on for precision.Dude... My nissan has like a v8, man.

Camera equipment costs a lot yes, I am very well aware, but I also don't make BS excuses, if I can spend $500 on a lens or $500 on wheels, I'm going to seriously consider my options, and then buy whatever will make me happier. The difference is, with camera equipment the difference in quality is staggering, and not even comparable to that of a pry bar, a pry bar will pry regardless of price. The difference between a 50 1.8 and 50 1.4 is staggering a leaps and bounds greater than that of a piece of steel.Originally posted by andybob View Postlol

And how expensive is camera equipment?
