i would prefer a darker brown floors to match the color of by bedroom furniture which is more cherry oak/chocolate color
Yeah, my furniture is the same color. The floors are a little lighter. I think I might have a picture on here somewhere.

Each room suits each house, really, while at the same time showcasing a bit of what I like. ;D

Originally posted by ratmog View PostWell.. my room at home is completely psycho, but if you're going for nice calm wooden floors etc, then I'd say a light coffee for the walls, possibly two-tone them with an even lighter coffee on top, always leave ceiling white. Then the little touches make the room. Psycho room is lime green with purple shag pile and a tiger bedspread - leather effect bed with dark varnished furniture - my room at my mother's house is bare floorboards sanded back and matte-clear-coated, with a light blue from that range I linked. Shelves are old floorboards from the victorian house next door.

Some of the names of their colours are lovely. 'Elephant's breath' is one I like.Drinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

edit:
sorry about the green lines in one - capped from a larger annotated image I did for a school project about a week after the room was finished. AC/DC poster is wallpaper pasted onto the wall.
edit edit: yes I have a small pile of cuddly toys. all gifts apart from the pink cat. i got him in disney, Anaheim.
edit edit edit: i think I killed you all with my 80s porn throwback. if it helps, sometimes the sheets are purple satin?Last edited by ratmog; 05-12-2011, 12:45 AM.
