I am not going to mess with preload too much, just make it so the springs are stiff in the perches. The problem is:

If I were to spin the height all the way down so the bottom silver piece is touching the bottom spring perch, and the car isn't low enough still, I could then order shorter springs so I have more room to spin the silver piece lower...Correct?

And yes, Megan makes the spring I would need to go another 50mm lower in the right spring rate.

You could do that, but the current struts in those are valved for a certain spring size and rate. In the short term it might not be bad, but in the long run you would be putting extra stress on the struts and will cause them to fail earlier.

Possibly but then you are going to get into a whole other world of a spring rate that is too much for the dampening and then you are basically just bouncing down the road.
