You get a ton of compression artifacts and such. Since its the industry my dad was in IQ and the like was always a big thing so anything thats not any image thats not as crystal as it could be bothers me. Like Fox shows are in 720p not 1080i, and yes I can tell the difference and since they could easily broadcast at 1080i and don't, it bothers me. ABC/ESPN/Disney networks, are the same in this.

Can't troll me Dave, if the native resolution of your TV is 720p then yes 720p will look better, but on a 1080p tv, 1080i will look best, (they don't broadcast in 1080p yet).

i was just mid reply about broadcasting in 1080p. because only bluray is 1080p, i didnt buy a 1080p tv. wasnt worth it imo. dont have a bluray player, not getting one anytime soon.
