Nah it was started for farmers apparently, they continue it out of hatred.

Bush decided to make DST last longer, so that went into effect AFTER his presidency. So now its DST for like 2 weeks more in the fall and starts 2 weeks earlier in the winter. It never made sense to me why, especially seeing as there isn't much of a need for it, in today's modern society.. But whatever, I'm just happy he's gone.
