I want to buy a car from the USA and ship it to aus in the future. Does anyone know anyone in this industry?

a friend of mine in adelaide (sp?) looked into that a few years ago. we were actually talking about it a couple weeks ago. he said it wasnt worth it. and something about being LHD not being able to pass inspections

My biggest importer is in Cali, so he might have a hook up with a freight forwarder to ship out cars. I know he was trying to get an Mtech equipped E30 Touring into the states. he had a way in, but couldnt find a car he liked

I see whats going on here, you're trying to make this into a project car but your funds are extremely limited AND you don't really want the car.
Do yourself a favor and either fix the MECHANICAL crap or just sell it and buy something cheaper with lower miles on it (a civic).
I would just keep it and repair all the mechanical shit, it doesn't sound like it needs that much.

throw out bearing
steering issue
most likely a tune up
