happened to me on my beach vacation this summer...on the same bike actually...hmm

Went up on the hood of the odessy and somehow when she braked, I slip off, kept on the bike caught my balance and continued riding. only thing that got messed was my seat was off center.

Mine was pretty bad.
I was going down a little hill along side a van, I looked both ways (without stopping), didn't see any traffic (the van was blocking my sight of the on-coming car perfectly) , and went on.
I heard the horn, looked at the car barreling down on me going about 40-35 mphs, next thing I know they are cutting my clothes off in an ambulance, I black out and wake up in the ER.

One thing I will never do is ride at dusk or low light. My dad knows several avid riders 30yr. plus of riding in the Tarrytown area that were struck by vehicles. If its going to happen there is no way to avoid it, as you've seen first hand dudeman.

yeah funny thing is I didn't have a helmet on, and I walked away without any real damage. Face was all road rash on one side, bruises all on one side of my body, fractured sinus (I still don't know wtf that means), and blood vessel popped in mah eye (shit looked crazy). They held me over night for fear of a concussion and back/neck damage but there was none, I am one tough built sob. Was fucking hacking up some nasty shit for a few weeks from the sinus thing though.
