The only 2 that I would say competed with the Supra, RX-7 and the 300zx, and TBH only the RX-7 is somewhat of a looker, and I really mean some what. None of them were great looking cars.

Thats what I mean, those cars are all what me and my generation of jap enthusiast's loved.
I really want a 300zx with a 1jz for some reason

In fact, as far as I am concerned, only a few companies made any good looking cars during the 90s. That decade sucked for good looking cars.

If you have the money man that is a great idea. I would love to run any Ls motor in mine that passes.
Nowadays, I sort of wished I found a cleaner Zenki, maybe a donor car.
The 1JZ swap is so easily accessible and really keeps everything pricewise down.

yeah swaps are pretty limited for 96-98 240sx's
vq (which is pretty rare, and I'm not sure if it will pass)
or LSX (fairly common these days, they have cookie cutter kits now)
