i have a very purist view on hip hop.

no way man. Distance, coki, skream, hatcha, caspa, older rusko, loefah, and kode 9, are the fucking reason i listen to dubstep. without them dubstep wouldn't even exist. I can appreciate producers like these alot more because they had the originality to come up with their own genre! Don't get me wrong, i have almost the same love for skrillex, doctor p, flux, datsik, excision, etc.... but i just have to go back on my roots. ya feel meh?

very true. ive never been to a show but i came to that conclusion by skream being mellow in comparison to skrillz or boregore which is the dubstep i listen to

lol skrillex is most definitely dubstep. he came straight from sceamo/post hardcore or whatever to dubstep and has been killing it with his tunes ever since. Actually i wouldn't say skrillex is house at all. he has the same og snare on 1 and 3, which is really the basis of dubstep. lol
