Any not oem swap will have problems. If you put engine in the car that never came with it, you will alway have to work out few bugs here and there.

I done few swaps on Hondas, Mazdas, BMWs and have yet to do one that will start on first try and have zero glitches.

I'm just saying that their are several bugs and quirks that Toyota forgot to play out.

And what about every other car company? No one is perfect. VW's have to be some of the most unreliable cars out there, but its ok because its a VW? The N54 in the 1/335 has had so many problems but thats ok because its a TT BMW? Your argument has gaping flaws.

My friends E90 N52 lifted head, snaped stud, worped head and microcracked block deck at 62k miles. It overheated, but he shut it off as soon as he saw yellow overheating light.

Maybe I am just not skillful enough to do it right the first time. I probably have done close to 30 swaps in different makes and models and have yet to do on e100% perfect.
