Painting itself is pretty simple, its good prep work that can make or break a paint job. If you have any questions, ask away as I go to school for paint and body. By the way, I would never let Maaco paint anything of mine. They do shoddy body work at best, and paint it to get it done. I've had friends get a Maaco paint job, and it was chipping/peeling after 6 months.

What was even more of a pain in the ass was getting out. Knowledge on driving machinery FTW. I used to operate back-hoe at another job, a tractor is a similar principle. After a few minutes I was back on my way plowing.

I'd like to get a paint gun but to do it right I would need 3 guns. A cheap gun for primer, a good gun for base, and a good gun for clear. Easily $1800 worth in paint guns.
