I desperately want to get into an E24, but it seems like they're either immaculate and cost way too much, or are really beat/need too much work and time to get running. and my car is barely even worth 4k so selling mine wouldn't give me anywhere near enough money to fix one up.

I almost got an e24 that wouldnt stay running for $800. everything else was mint. then something happened and i didnt. maybe i got drunk as fuck, then spent the next day hungover and he sold it to someone else. that sounds like a likely story
