The problem is, where would I put the antenna on the car without it looking absolutely ridiculous. Drilling holes isn't an option.

My antenna is magnetic. But I just put some double sided tape on it and put in on the corner of my windshield.

I put the antenna under the dash beneath the clock pod on my subie. works fine for me. Same with my GPS.

I was thinking about putting it on the rear decklid, sounds like it might be crazy enough to work. You guys don't lose signal easily or anything?

I know my mom's Denali loses signal for a second when you drive under a wide overpass.

I lose signal less with my GPS in my dash than my old garmin. It gets a bit spotty in downtown Seattle inbetween the high rises, but becides that it works well.

I have turn-by-turn thanks to Google's Map application on my iPhone. No other GPS necessary. Never really cuts out, at least wherever I go.
