I had the option of rebuilding them, but they have 50,xxx miles on them. They don't need to be rebuilt and rebuilding them was another $200 that I didn't really need to spend.Originally posted by Jlyons617 View PostThose brake calipers look awesome. I've got to get mine in for coating. Did you rebuild them while they were out?

I didn't think you could powder coat them whole. I thought the heat from baking the powder would kill the seals.Originally posted by kbuss View PostI had the option of rebuilding them, but they have 50,xxx miles on them. Mother-in-law's truck fried the radiator halfway to Niagara falls. They called me at work, I had to leave to go get them. Drive them all the way back home. They need my Accord to fit 5 people in since Tasha's Celica only fits 4. So I give her my Accord.
And I drive the M3 the work, smiling the whole way.

Everything was removed. I just told the guy that if the seals were in good shape to not bother replacing them. Calipers were completely stripped for powder.Originally posted by Jlyons617 View PostI didn't think you could powder coat them whole. I thought the heat from baking the powder would kill the seals.
