Need to buff it more coz the scratches from 2k are still visible close up

4000 would be awesome. Harder to feel when the paper gets beat, but makes polishing a breeze.

I go 1000/1500 > 2000 > 3000 > hand polish > buff with a wheel

This is ~2000 with some hand polishing.

You should get all the really bad stuff out with 1000-1500, by the end of 2000 it should look like it's raw, flat aluminum.
