Yeah, but you learn a ton even using pre-set exercises. That program is well worth the time it takes to get acquainted with it.

I should go home and mess around with it tonight. It was great to use though when i was learning spanning tree protocol.

I wish I had paid attention more. I can follow packets, do packet analysis, and do pretty anything network wise, except for setting the bitch up. Want me to break it? Sure. Want me to set up a basic network? Sure. Want me to administrate your network full of Cisco shit? No thanks.

You ever mess with the Cisco Network Assistant? I use it for our VOIP and ROIP system. I love that program.

But the GUI is too easy. I had a blast trying to learn the command line. I honestly don't know what an ios GUI looks like.

I had never seen the ios gui until I had to do the voip changeover at my current job, and thats all the other 2 guys used. I'm no command line expert, but I keep a copy of the command book around just in case. I've had the other guys lock themselves out of the GUI and had to console into the switch a couple times.

Exactly. The only difference between me and the 12 yr old girl is that I would use the cli rather than a GUI.
