well I brought it to the exhaust shop, and they said the cat was fine and the issue with how it was running was the fuel pump. and I knew the sender was fucked, so it made enough sense. after I replaced that, it was still running like shit. so I brought it back and had them cut the cat out and inspect it. turns out I was right. so they welded up a new one this morning
