It's mainly the front and back quarters of the liners that I'll be reusing.

I hacked up my liners. Took out the part that rubs and left the rest of them in the wheel well.

I completely removed my liners for a good, long time. Then I got tired of being afraid to drive my car in the rain, so I reinstalled them and just let them rub to death.

Cannot wait for my tax return and the upcoming $900 I'm getting from my last two Total 911 features:

 -Continental DW's
-Factory shop manual (mine's impossible to find on torrent sites)
 -Floor jack
 -Jack stands
 -Impact screwdriver

And if I have any money left over, a small air compressor and a Dremel. Maybe an impact wrench (probably electric if I don't get the compressor) or air ratchet. I want to start building up a small army of tools for weekend projects. I also need to get a new clutch and flywheel for when that part shits out on my car. The throwout bearing will likely be the first part to fail, but at 100k miles, may as well replace everything once I get in there.Last edited by FluidMotorUnion; 02-26-2013, 10:53 AM.

If you're looking for air tools, The may not be that fancy, but I've had good luck with those Husky ones from Home Depot. I would never use them if i was a career mechanic, but for a weekend warrior they're fine. I bought the set with the 1/2 impact, 3/8" ratchet, grinder and spray gun, for $80. Keep the reciept, they're lifetime warranty and in essence they are lower grade Matco.Originally posted by FluidMotorUnion View PostCannot wait for my tax return and the upcoming $900 I'm getting from my last two Total 911 features:

Yup. I've slowly been gathering tools for our future house purchase, and this is exactly what I've been doing. Kobalt and Husky tools work okay for me, I've got mostly Craftsman wrenchs though. Swap meets & garage sales are the best for scoring old tools.Originally posted by Jlyons617 View PostIf you're looking for air tools, The may not be that fancy, but I've had good luck with those Husky ones from Home Depot.
