Well that also then depends if you want the AUS R31 like this one or the JDM R31

Aus came with a live axle rear end and an RB30E motor(very good for putting an RB25DET head on for a big power RB25/30 build)
JDM model came with IRS in the back and an early RB20DET motor

Can't you just replace the camshaft and any other internals that were affected?

Well since the cam shaft lobe ground down i'd say all the metal shavings have made their way into the sump and probably distributed into other bearings, so it would be a matter of time until the engine knock knocks on the door
