I've always been taught they are garbage once you tighten em. Like torque to yield bolts. and I've seen people put them back on and they would come loose or rip the threads off. no bueno.

That's what we were talking about while we were under the truck. None of the threads were flattened or stripped so we kept them. They should have been fucked up but they didn't yield for some reason. Idk, the u-bolts will probably never see the light of day again because that Peterbilt ran 32 years without needing any suspension work and the old man will retire before it needs it again.
