It's weird not having bright yellow letters showing 'TPMS' on my dash for the first time in two years.

Guess this means I get to be like every other 'Murican and ignore my tire pressures until I hit the warning threshold!*

*The warning threshold on Hondas is 17 psi. I'm pretty sure my tire would fold the sidewalls under the tread and commit seppuku before I hit 17 psi.

I wanna say alloy head and aluminum bolts. They were very weak. Snapped so easily. I honestly don't know what the head and bolts are made of.

Actually, I don't know the first thing about this technology either.

One month after I bought the car, I installed my Blizzaks using the tire breakdown machine here. I didn't know that TPMS mounted to the valve stem, so when removing the old tire I just stuck the crowbar in any old spot on the wheel.

That spot happened to be directly on top of the TPM sensor. It broke the thing in half.

Finally got around to replacing it today, over two full years later.

I'll still check my pressures at the gas station. The Speedway by me has an auto-air-machine that gets set to a certain PSI (your choosing, even allows 55+ psi for small spares), then all you have to do is move the air hose between tires, and the machine will fill to the correct level and beep when it's done. Fucking sorcery.
