Putting the cars on the lifts was a damn smart idea. It looks like some parts of NY near the coast are already experiencing flooding to a decent degree. My friend got shuffled to LI last night, too, from her apartment up in Manhattan. Shit's getting real, but hopefully it won't be as bad as everybody says.

According to Gizmodo, the NYC subways are kept dry using a small amount of rather old water pumps, so if shit gets cray-cray, the entire subway system might flood. That's pretty scary.
