The argument usually goes something like: you wouldn't want to be upside down, halfway unconscious, strapped into a 4 or 5 point harness with the engine on fire.

But then I wouldn't want any of that even if I was using a regular seat belt.

Exactly hahah, either way, it's 2 simple motion to unhook either type of belt. Little more complicated if it's a drag racing harness, but I digress.
