Been there done that. Poked in the eye with a stick (sledding) that resulted in a scratched cornea and all sorts of other fuckery. It sucked for a few days.

From the shit I read, it sounds like you just have to wash them frequently with solution and rinse your lens case out regularly and you should be fine.

I only had one issue with my contacts when I slept with them in for like 2 weeks straight. Other than that, never an issue, every now and again I take a break and wear glasses for a few days or a day or whatever, as long as you take care of them, you're fine.
