Sadly yeah I think they are :/

And in the rear I'm running just the spring, not completely preloaded...which means I can get a bit more low.

      I see.

The coil spins as well as the strut tube? This means he has 3 Thread LOCKS?

        Send pics.

I can literally come down another like 6 inches in the front and a good 3 in the back

Yeah, fully threaded strut body. For that extra adjustability.

I have a fuck ton of threads left. But on e46 strut bodies the bottom piece that gets held onto by the suspension is smaller than the rest of the shock tube...kinda hard to explain.
Lemme try to find a pic.

                • Okay take a look at the one on the right

Look at the bottom of the strut see how it's thinner. Well it looks like the threaded body is hitting inside Ina lip and can't go lower.

Coils built this way are just a billion times better.

                        • I could be wrong, but the strut should be threading into the carrier for the sleeve thing. , which should be held into the sleeve you're hitting. It sounds like you didn't install it correctly, but once again I can't say for sure without a pic of yours.

I pretty much threw em on how I got em, Jaze snt em and was like all you new todo is install lol.

They seemed threaded all the way, cause the carries wouldn't thread in anymore, like they stop. I looked thru the bottom and it looked they were bottomed out into the carriers.
