LOL, dude you need to realize that they don't give a fuck about that car, they did it because they can, and why not. It was a beat to shit Odyssey, with ridiculous rust problems, and was meant as a shop hauler. They sell bags, so why not bag it, and do something over the top with it? I dig it, the thing is hysterical to see at shows, and they just have a blast with it.

but most gti's come with a good share of options
most seats are electronic and a lot are heated
