It must be this years Type-R which would make sense since its on sale.

The amp pushes 500 Watts x1 channel at 2 ohms. Both Type-R and Type-S can be had with dual 4 ohm voice coils. I can wire the voice coils in parallel so the load is 2 ohms and whala, I'll have my 500 watts.

2012 type r is 1000rms. and if its the mrpm50 or whatever amp, thats only 300w at 2ohm or something. not a real 500. trust me, Im an Alpine dealer lol

It is 300 x 1 at 4 ohms, but like I said I'll wire it for 2 ohms which brings the output up to 500 watts RMS

Yeah. The stuff from,late 90s early 2000s was great
