Just got the drivers side strut out. Then realized I have to use the car for leverage to relieve tension on the spring. This was after I removed everything but the last perch and spring.

But fuck it i'll do it in the morning. Anyone have any tips on cleaning and "servicing" them per se?

I like to clean the threads from dirt if its been a while since last worked on. Also my dust boots are haggard and wanna replace those.

So RT today is my real fathers birthday, I have not spoke to him since I was 7 we wrote until I was 12 18 now since then I only talked to him last year from facebook emails. DO I talk to him and say happy birthday?

Call the guy. If you aren't comfortable enough and you're a social drinker, have a few drinks before the call haha.

Also, I think I would appreciate and love it if I was in your father's position, getting a surprise phone call from my son even if we weren't close. Calls that are outta the blue like that could make him feel better if he happen to be having a bad day.
