If the lip stays the same it shouldn't poke less, you'll only have a wider barrel so your offset goes up, but your face doesn't move nor does the lip. Unless I read something wrong.

LOL its the inner clearance I'm concerned about.
I put the 16x7.5 et30 and it had like 2/3 of an inch clearance from my suspension.
Also it would end up being 16x11 et 24 (with 7" barrel and 3.5" lips) or 16x10 et 0. (with 5.5" barrel and 4" lips).

Khalils right, only the barrel extends inward. The lip and face stay in the same position.

I know that....but once again I am only talking about 2 different wheel set ups:
16x11 et 24 (with 7" barrel and 3.5" lips) or 16x10 et 0. (with 5.5" barrel and 4" lips)
