I don't really like not being able to coast, so I do single speed bikes... I like to think that keeps me out of that group

Dude I just got a Jamis Komodo for Xmas, its awesome so far these past couple months. Granted I have not done any really big stuff yet but Its a beast bike. I got mine for like 350 brand new its an '09 model with the 130mm fork

I've always wanted a Specialized Stump Jumper myself. At least that's what it was called a few years ago. lol I remember it had Fox forks, hardtail, and 8" disks all around. I wanted it sooo bad. I'd love to get a good mountain bike. I miss riding.

Yeah they still have the Stump Jumper. I wish I could afford a FSR, but the price jump from hardtail to FSR is just insane.

We use blackboard at my school too. It's a piece of shit, but there's an iphone app for it that's free so you can try to download that and see if it works.

I think the hardtail is a solid choice. I'd only seriously consider an FSR if I were doing jumps and drops.
I've only ridden a cheap wal-mart NEXT softtail. I'm itching to take a heavy duty FSR out for a spin some day.
