I want to put a wheel on the front that has the following spec:

17x9 with a 25mm offset. I have Wilwood Discs on the front which push out the hub/wheel interface about 1 inch on each side. Considering the 25 mm offset is approx one inch, it sounds like this wheel would be perfect since the brake kit acts in essence acts as a spacer as well!! But will a 9 inch wide wheel, bumped out the one inch due to the brake setup, still let it act like an 8 inch wide wheel as far as clearances are concerned around ball joints, fender aprons etc? This wheel crap is confusing when you start screwing with the variables!!!!

i know, even that E39 530d has beefier output shafts than 540i ... fuck that hopefully friend of mine has set @ garage... i will but those 540i ones in.. so what will be next part that brokes under torque? gearbox? or drive shaft?

its too expensive, this i why i would want to change for MK5 GTI!

new output shaft 450€ / piece.. so 900€ for those.. clutch & flywheel if i custom build that one to stand that torque that will be around 1100€ FUCK THIS!

and if i custom build my Styling 5's to 3piece with only the parts needed to do that.. over 1k€ ... fuck this i but my car to garage as its almost summer and just start cycling everywhere!
